Try T-mobile. They offer for 5Euro/day. Or try iPhoneTrip, they provide unlimited data sim cards.

well, 5 euro a day is huge!! and also iPhoneTrip is verry expansive! And I do not use a iPhone, I am using my netbook with USB-Data-Stick.

till now, I did not find a provider which offers a prepaid- simcard for a period like one month in Germany. There are a lot of providers, YESSS.at, DREI.at, which provide this for Austria, but why is there no provider in Germany??

These cards also allow you to receive free incoming calls in many countries. You can get international for your tour. It costs very low price than anyother international sim card. Also they are providing very good customer care services throgh online also.International SIM Cards reduce your cost of roaming by as much as 90% depending on the provider you use.SIM Card for Germany

There is a new provider in Germany, http://www.fyve.de, which offers prepaid simcards for mobiles, including data traffic.

I did not try it, but it seem to work for usb-data sticks:
http://www.fyve.de/pages/tarife/alle-preise/surf-flatrate-xl

Price: 15 euro for 1GB Traffic, valid 30 days.
So maybe this simcard is the best way to get online for travelers and people on vacation in whole Germany?

Nevertheless, pay-as-you-go SIM cards or pre-pay SIM cards give the user greater control over spending costs when using a mobile phone. By using pre-pay SIM's the user can limit their mobile usage by topping up a set amount within their financial budget.

Too expensive!!! The benefits do not outweigh the costs. What a scam!

I moved from d USA to Germany 3 months ago. I've been using Lycamobile sim card 4 almost 2 1/2 months. They have 1c/min + connection fee of 15c/call and free 300MB/m. This rate is for international calls. D rate 4 Germany is 9c/min and 9c/SMS. I think, this's d cheapest rate so far. D customer service is free but d worst mf in d world..SHITTY one..also they overcharged me more than 10 times. For calls to US, I used magicjack... it's free..also people can call me 4 free as well...that's what I like...Overall, all SIM cards, landlines and data (internet) are so OVERPRICED in Europe...no Toll-free numbers, no free 'net, no free local or long distance calls... u pay 4 everything....European network sucks too.

If you wanna travel trough the country you need a SIM with a good UMTS Coverage or you will go sick on the data rates ... so look for a SIM-Card with T-Mobile (D1) or Vodafone (D2) as Provider.

Congstar Prepaid (D1) / FYVE (D2) / BILDmobil (D2) are ok ... 10 for 500 MB a Month or more if you want.

Re: Whats the cheapest prepaid Data-simcard for Germany? #85 ein/ausblenden
Assuming the SIM fits, you could try blau.de. It runs on e-plus, so the coverage is spotty if you aren't in town, but you can buy the card practically anywhere in Germany (in grocery stores, train stations, etc). You can get a gig and the SIM card for 10 euro. If you fork out another 5 or 10 Euro you can get 3 or 5 GB, but you'll need to add the money online. No contract, but you need internet access to register the card, so find a Starbucks. If you need APN info or whatever the credentials are called, they're also online under FAQ. If you can't read German, you might have difficulties registering. Anyway, it's cheap and prepaid.

Planet Saturn now have an O2 data dongle for 25 euro for 5G data 30 days
You need to buy the dongle though for 9 euro
It last 30 days at 7mbps and when 5G has been used it drops to 64kbps until you top up
I surveyed Vodafone sim only data 5euro for SIMM and 39.95 per month
Couldn't find the Aldi deal that everyone was talking about
O2 shop assistant didn't even know of the deal.
TMobile when i called from UK said they didn't do a pre pay deal and sure enough in the shop they could only recommend a third party provider I hadn't heard of but was on a carousel in the shop. They said they didn't support it once you had bought the SIMM.
Everyone else in Europe -even the French give you about 5 to 10 G for 15 to 20 euro now.
Come on Germany lets make travel and pre pay cheap and convenient for us customers!
